Psychiatrist is required in Aberdeen

The hospital is Public and it is located in Aberdeenshire. The Consultant will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary community mental health team which include dedicated time from a number of CPNs and Social Workers and sessions from OT’s, Psychologists and Junior Doctors. Numbers of staff per team can vary from time to time but all resources are allocated evenly through the service. The post holder will provide General Adult Psychiatric services to a population aged eighteen to sixty five years in certain areas of Aberdeenshire.

  • Salary: between £77,529 – £104,525.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MBChB or Equivalent.
  • CCT/CESR(CP) in General Adult Psychiatry, or within 6 months of obtaining this or on Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion.
  • Eligible for recognition (if required, following standard training) as Approved Medical Practitioner with regard to Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in general psychiatry.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary teamwork, teaching and supervision.
  • Full driving license is required.
