Hospital based in London is looking for doctors (Consultants) specialized in Emergency
HOSPITAL INFORMATION:
- The Hospital is located in the east side of London, more specifically in the Barking area.
- It is a Trust that has two hospitals and other centers.
- Both hospitals focus their practice on internal medicine, more specifically acute.
CANDIDATE DUTIES:
- Have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge and for the functioning of the department.
- Be a part of a team responsible for providing appropriate cover to patients in the first 48 hours in the Critical Care area (of which the Emergency Department is a component).
- Complete administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the running of a clinical department.
- Be continually involved in teaching, research and development.
- The development of clinical audit.
- Planning and delivering the provision of service. This will include planning how work will be organised.
- The appointment of junior medical staff and other staff for the department.
- The selection of equipment for the department, ensuring appropriate standards for its monitoring and maintenance.
- Training of nursing and junior medical staff.
IT OFFERS:
- Permanent contract.
- Salary between £75,249 – £101,451 + £2,162 annual for London zone.
- Full time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of interview date.
- Fellowship of the College of Emergency Medicine (FCEM) or equivalent.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) Provider.
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- High level of English.
